Hello shrek

http://www.nhs.uk Carpal tunnel syndrome (type in search box or 4 both)

My dr said its hard to diagnose fibromyalgia as there are no tests 4 this symptom.

I have "carpal tunnel syndrome" originally was told by another dr i had fibromyalgia, my own dr wouldnt diagnose me with it.

Get a 2nd opinion write down all the symptoms 2 take with you. let me know how you get on.

Hi Shrek,

FM is pain all over body made worse by stress, cold or activity. Headaches, tiredness, restless legs syndrome, IBS, pins and needles, skin numbness/burning sensations, teeth grinding, cognitive issues, pain worse on waking - there are lots of symptoms.

Did the doc press over pressure points on your childs body as there are 18 tender points and I think you are to have pain in 11 of these points when pressure is applied - no this doesn't apply anymore.

Here's the link http://www.ei-resource.org/illness-information/environmental-illnesses/fibromyalgia-(fms)/

Some days can be good and then you get a flare up and the pain can be excruciating. Exercise intolerance is common and can also bring on lots of symptoms. But it is best to keep excercising even if in small amounts. Personally I find the tiredness is overwhelming - have difficulty sleeping at night and never have a refreshing sleep so tired all the time.

I see that your other child has ME - they are closely related. See this link for CFS/ME http://www.hfme.org/whobenefitsfromcfs.htm

Hope that helps.
