Hello ella

The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to exchange their Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance to obtain a new car, powered wheelchair or scooter.

The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to lease a car, powered wheelchair or scooter simply by using their government-funded mobility allowances. Customers exchange their allowance for a worry-free mobility package, including:

Car, powered wheelchair or scooter
Insurance
Servicing
Tyres
Breakdown cover
Adaptations and wheelchair accessible vehicles are also available.

Motability may be able to offer financial help towards the cost of a suitable car, adaptations, driving lessons or a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle.

Check website for further advice. Hope this helps you.
