Hi,
I am new!
My son is 13 years old and special needs - attends Special School and has mild cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy, OI, talipes, arthritis.
Does anyone know what the position is should my son, when an adult, have no-one (family) to care for him and have to go into a care home/assisted living etc?
If my son has money in the Bank, will that money be taken to pay for his care?
Being honest, I am asking as his Grandad has left him a fairly substantial sum in his will and has heard that the money could all be taken by the authorities/care provider to pay for his care - he does not want that to happen...
